The rules of NKU are clearly stated on their board.  When one joins a board, he/she is supposed to follow the rules of the board. IMO, if you have an issue with the policies of the board, you should bring your concerns to the administrator of the board, not to other boards.  

First of all, NKU is a private-owned Nicole’s fan board, NOT a Keith Urban fan board.  Foxy includes a forum for Keith out of kindness.  She spent a lot of time recording Keith’s shows/interviews on Australian TV, scanning Keith articles as FREE treats for Keith fans at NKU.  Instead of showing appreciation and observing her rules, some Keith fans actually complain/criticize her polices!  According to some people here, as long as one is spreading Keith’s related material, one doesn’t have to follow rules.  If you don’t like NKU’s policies regarding reposting their materials on other boards or websites, why don’t you record the programs and scan pictures/magazines yourselves and post them on a Keith board and be responsible for any legal implication it may result?   I believe there are indeed legal issues and Foxy is very familiar with them as she has encountered a few in the last few years as the owner of NKU.  As I understand, one can record and Tivo TV programs for private use but distributing your recorded programs for public use does involve some copy right issues (Binary’s husband seems to be familiar with this issue).

My impression is that it’s never enough for some Keith fans.  Grace, a Nic fan from Germany, kindly translated Keith’s Galore interview and posted on NKU.  A Keith fan reposted the translation here without asking Grace’s permission.  After Woman’s Day published a professional translation of part of the interview, instead of showing appreciation to Grace, some Keith fans went on to say that Grace’s translation was hard to understand or implied it was non-English or a Google translation.  The fact is more than 90% of the words used in both translations are identical.  Grace’s version is harder to read simply because she didn’t use capitalization nor spelling check; she was in a hurry to deliver the translation to Keith and Nicole fans.

These kinds of criticism towards people’s voluntary services simply discourage people from offering the same kind of service again.  As a member of NKU, I will appeal to Foxy to stop posting Keith-only videos on NKU.

I believe VK is talking about the actual film clip.  The moderator uploaded it herself after recording it for all of the KU fans that post there.  The moderator at NKU did specifically ask that the videos be posted no where else without her permission as it could get her into trouble if they are widespread.  I don't know the specifics on that since I'm completely oblivious as to copyright rules.  

VK-In no way do I want to add to your upset over this.  I'm just trying to help explain why there were issues with this.  It wasn't just a case of a moderator being selfish about not wanting to share something she found on the web.

I totally agree with what you say... it is a Nicole Kidman board.. not a keith urban board or site!.. and she has been very kind in the way she has iven Keith's fans what they wanted.

Marilyn.... I am not sure what happened with the german interview..
I just think thatsome people... me included didn't realize it was the same interview that was in the German magazine...
then someone pointed out to me that it was... in no way did we here mean it as an attack on the great job that Grace did...
I do agree with you, that was very very kind of her and a difficult task to sit there and work out what the words were in english...

The truth of the matter is....
when you own a board or site, you cannot please everyone...
unfortunately... as much as it is in your heart to do so....
and when keith and Nicole united, it didn't mean that all fans would also unite and marry in the same way!
Some are more dedicated to Nicole, and some are more dedicated to Keith.
Maybe the answer is as you say.....
We stop posting nicole video, and visa versa...
it is a tightrope situation... where there isn't a clear cut path for those that admire each of these stars. Or even if they admire just one of them? but still want information and video of them.

and why the members of NKU feel so strongly about this incident...

again I just feel that VK was just so excited about seeing this footage and didn't read the small print... and just had everyone else in her thoughts and heart!...

it was just one of those things... that do happen, when you put exclusive stuff on your site...
The same incident could have happened if it was an exclusive Nicole clip... that another Nicole fan wanted to share with others..

I signed up for the NKU board over a year ago. I should have read all the restrictions, but I did not. It's my fault. I never dreamed it would be wrong. I have never posted over there. I signed up because I enjoyed all the pictures and news on KU & Nic. I will never again go back to the NKU site. (I guess a bonus for them). As soon as (this morning) I saw what someone had posted on MV about it being wrong, I immediately removed the link and apologized for posting it. For the life of me, I can't understand how it is okay for the NKU people to view the clip, but not everyone else.
I am tried of worrying about it. My husband has been very sick today and I don't need the added stress of all this mess.
I don't know how many times I can apologize or say that I did not know I was doing anything wrong. It's my own stupidity.
I swear if I had known, I would not have posted. I don't
know what else I can say or do to make it right. I had no intention of getting anyone in trouble.
I do want to again, thank all the wonderful and understanding people here. You guys are so awesome! I love you all.

Victoria, please don't let this eat you up inside. Just concentrate on your husband's health and yourself ... that is more important! I had a similar situation back in late 2005 when I was attacked personally by email by someone for some comments I made in regards to sticking up for Keith and Nicoles' relationship and telling these people to leave this board alone back in late 2005. I felt very threatened by this person and it actually stopped me from posting on this board. Those people are now long gone thanks to Teena but it has taken me this long to post here again.

Thanks to recent contact with Teena I am now back on here and feel safe again.By the way nobody else,not even Teena, knew about the attacks as I was too embarrassed to say anything about it so I just stopped posting.

I really let it get to me. At the same time I was losing my two beautiful old cats to aggressive cancer's and it knocked me around. So please don't worry yourself over it ... it is not worth it ... it really isn't.

Please don't worry about what happened as I said before your heart was in the right place, so no worries. Once in a while you may cross someone, I did I just stuck to my feelings & went on. Not everyone is going to agree with everything you write & well that is OK. I believe if everyone felt the same way about things it would be a pretty boring board, in my opinion anyways. I agree most of the time with everyone & sometimes just bits & pieces & other times... well they have the right to how they feel & so do I.
