The children went home first thing this morning.
The familes spent the day having lunch at the hotel celebrating Bob's birthday
Keith & Nic expected to leave tonight to an unknown location for the honeymoon.

This was all on ch 9 news just now.

I think they make a great couple and i like the fact that keith has in his hands a birthday pressy for his dad lol.

I agree 100%.

I saw a clip on another site of Shane talking - and I started to tear up.  So happy for Keith (and Nicole!).  Even my local news made mention of them marrying and how their picture was so beautiful and peaceful.  

Maybe that is what many of us are feeling - PEACE.  Knowing Keith (and Nicole) has finally found it, makes us all feel happy.  All of us married folk know marriage isn't easy by any stretch, but there is NOTHING like knowing you have a partner, to make decisions with and for- someone to lean on ... and to know you have that forever, gives you a sense of peace.  I think that is what we see on both Keith and Nicole's face ....

They do seem totally happy, relaxed and you said it, Canadakaren, at peace. I hear The Insider is going to drag Keith's past out again tonight on TV--horrid people--the one saving grace is that Keith doesn't read the tabloids or watch these stateside TV gossip shows. Nicole does sometimes and fights back with a lawsuit.  She now has a good man who cares about her. They are also off on their honeymoon, hopefully they're away from all the craziness--I just hope NE doesn't follow their every move now that they've caught them when they landed.

These were the words Shane Urban, 40, used in his best man’s speech as his baby brother tied the knot with his sweetheart Nicole Kidman on Sunday.

Shane and his family returned yesterday from a whirlwind week in Sydney to their quiet life on the Coast.

Shane and his wife Jennifer had met their future sister-in-law and her family when they were flown to Keith’s ranch in Tennessee in December.

“She is a wonderful, warm person and very natural,’’ Shane said.



“We spent some time with the children (Isabella and Connor) and they were very nice, friendly kids and not affected by all the publicity.’’

But just like the rest of the world, Shane was in the dark about his brother’s nuptials until the last minute.

“We didn’t know much about the wedding until we got there,’’ Shane said.

“From then on it was all very well organised, they had a stylist for the wedding so it was just schmick.

“As we went to the wedding (at a cliff top chapel in Manly’s St Patrick’s estate ) it felt like we were going to something old-fashioned as the streets were lined with well-wishers and the media.’’

When Nicole walked down the aisle to Keith and Shane, waiting at the altar, scrïpts were thrown out the window as love took centre stage.

Jennifer said: “The look on Keith’s face as his saw his bride was like the look Shane had on our wedding day (nine years earlier), it was very special.’’

Shane and Jennifer’s nine-year-old son, Blake, had the responsibility of carrying the ring that would tie Nicole and Keith in marriage.

Shane said: “The theme of the wedding was family.

“Our father (Bob) also gave a little speech, which was wonderful for both Keith and I as he is a very private person.

“There was lots of love and happiness, everyone was in such high spirits.’’

When Keith grabbed his guitar to sing his hit song Memories of Us to his new bride, everyone was moved.

“It is one of his many hits, but it was more special on Sunday because he now has a lady to sing it to,’’ Shane said.

He dismissed suggestions by Keith’s ex-girlfriends that he would struggle to remain faithful.

“Keith is truly in love. This will last absolutely.

“They’ll have to work on it, as one does in any marriage, but they have started on a strong foundation as they were good friends.

I loved how Shane supported his younger brother--good pic of him and Jennifer also.  I am also happy to report that when I watched The Insider, the big deal they had advertised from his past, was simply an older picture of Keith with long, platinum blond hair, wearing makeup from a photo shoot.  Nothing bad was said, they just showed the picture, and I thought it was a cute shot (lol).

This is great, now i have a face to a name.  I have always wondered for the past 14 months or so, what this man and his family looked like, but never had the time nor the knowledge back then to look on the net.  I am a little more internet savvy, but i am still a work in progress.
