Keith and Nicole sent out... « on: 06/20/06 03:50 » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A slab of VB (that's a type of beer for the non Aussies and non-Victorian's! lol) to the media camped outside her home with a note saying "Enjoy, from Nicole & Keith" ... how cool is that!! The photographers and journos were stoked and holding up their stubbies saying "Thanks Nicole and Keith". (they look set to party for Nicole's birthday I think. LOL They sang Happy Birthday to her and hip hip hooray's to which she thanked them over the intercom then came to the back gate and spoke quickly and they shot pics then she had the VB sent out to them. There is video of this over at NKU, totally cool! I did see them sing Happy b'day to her on the news. It was hilarious. What was more impressive was that NK actually came out and thanked them! She had a quick chat then went inside. She also told them her plans for the night...which ended up in the media going to her parents house and NK had to call someone to let them in. Keith looked like he was holding his hand to cover his eyes from the flashes (or maybe his face). and Yes Tee!! This is the highlight of the media here right now. Every Joe Blow is talking about it! She graciously thanked them for singing "Happy Birthday" and the flowers. In other wiords, even though they can sometimes be annoying, the lady treated them with consideration the same as she would any other human being. Although, Keith hadn't arrived at the time she did it, I am glad that she put his name on the note with the beer and water. Nicole has all the qualities of a good Ambassador--she can charm the socks off people--it shows her sweet nature. I love the pictures of Keith and her in the car where they are laughing--I think now that they are home, they seem to be relaxing more and actually getting a kick out of all the frenzy going on around them--I also think it was a good choice of hers to rent all the available helicopters and make sure the wedding ceremony is a private and personal thing for her and Keith, their relatives and very close personal friends--they will have that to themselves without flashbulbs from strangers going off in their faces. More and more she is beginning to remind me of Princess Di--I speak of Princess Di a lot because I admired her so much for her work with AIDS and the Land Mine issue as well as the way she handled the press and her friendly interaction with people in general. Nicole has a lot of her qualities. Regardless of her high station, great beauty, and her impeccable sense of fashion, Diana had a lovable down to earth nature, with a sensitive touch of shyness, and so does Nicole. I also think there is a lot of Keith's sweet and gentle presence rubbing off on Nicole as well as a streak of his mischief, sense of humor, and fun personality. I've always thought they'd be good for each other because they seem to fit smoothly into each other's worlds, but I never once dreamed that would actually happen until I saw those pictures last July. I was completely floored and overjoyed, it was like a dream come true--Even when he was struggling for a toehold in the music world, Keith still had a touch of class about him that made him stand out from the other new country singers. He had the talent but he also had something else very special that set him apart from other men. He was different--once you heard him play and sing and listened to him talk, there was an eerrie sense of greatness--he was real and convincing--you automatically knew he would be a big star someday. Looking at their pictures and reading about them now, they both seem to be comfortable with either the high powered and monied Hollywood/New England set or the laid back down home country music atmosphere of Nashville.
