It's full steam ahead for Keith Urban.  The hunky country music star has completed his stint in rehab for alcohol addiction and has announced his American dates for his upcoming 'Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing' world tour.  But a published report claims that his wife Nicole Kidman has begged him to postpone the grueling schedule that goes with the world tour.

Second Honeymoon for Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban?

Would a second honeymoon help Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman?   And if it could help them get back to where they were before Keith's extra long rehab stint for alcohol addiction - where would they find the time?   Still a report from Star Magazine claims that Nic really wants to work it in the couple's plans.

An insider revealed to the weekly entertainment magazine that Nicole is hoping that the pair can take some time off from their hectic schedules and go to the South Pacific for a second honeymoon.

They seem to be doing very well of late, and were even able to attend a Golden Globes after party together.  More recently, according to AOL's TMZ.Com the pair dined in West Hollywood. TMZ muses:  Maybe all Nicole Kidman needs to relax is a little spicy tuna.

TMZ spotted Kidman, with rehabbed hubby Keith Urban, chowing down last night at the exclusive Sushi Roku in West Hollywood. Nicole looked more than content after she popped some sashimi, seeming to have forgotten all about her frightening on-set rig wreck last week.

Why do famous show business women hook up with such obviously scuzzy spouses? Over and over again. The media is obsessed these days about singing star Britney Spears booting out her philandering party boy husband, and then celebrating her liberation (or libation) in public (or pubic) view by acting just as crazy as he does.


Doesn't Nicole Kidman Deserve Better?

Movie star Nicole Kidman was embarrassed several years ago by then husband Tom Cruise.  Cruise later wound up with a much younger woman. A few weeks ago, newspapers said Nicole was steadfastly standing by her brand-new problem husband, country singer Keith Urban, as he graduated from drug rehab for the umpteenth time. And everyone but Nicole knows he almost certainly will return again. Although the couple now look happy once again in recent photos together, how long will that last?

Knowing the self-inflicted troubled pasts of their husbands, what compels such intelligent and successful women to get themselves into predictably hopeless marriages like this? They knowingly wed troubled guys with shady pasts and somehow expect their wifely love will change the behavior of the philanderer, crook and/or drug addict. It never does.

It’s not a recent phenomenon. Old time movie stars who made similar marriage mistakes ... sometimes three or four or more times each ... include Jean Harlow, Lana Turner, Elizabeth Taylor, Doris Day, Judy Garland and daughter Liza Minnelli, Debbie Reynolds, Esther Williams, Fanny Brice and Rosalind Russell. More recent celebrity women include Tina Turner, Christie Brinkley, Sara Evans and Whitney Houston. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton certainly also qualifies for the current list, and it goes on and on.

Most of those unfortunate women married guys who leeched on to their skirt tails with faux job titles such as advisor and financial manager. Sooner or later they stole all the working wife’s money to spend on booze, drugs, bad investments, gambling and other women. Today’s major lame excuse is that the errant husband, often a petty crook, untalented actor or a hairy, tattooed rock squawker, is “fighting” or “struggling with” drug abuse. And, of course, he’ll soon pledge to reform, enter rehab again and all the troubles will be over. Yeah, sure.

An article in USA Today said Nicole Kidman’s Urban was ”struggling” with addiction. What struggle? What fight? Does a drug dealer hold him down and force him to take the evil stuff? In most cases, the only struggle the husband is making is to keep the wife’s gravy train on track so he can continue his philandering ways and access to unlimited drug supplies.

As soon as it was announced that Keith Urban would make an appearance on Saturday Night Live the first questions being tossed about our way were - 'will Nicole Kidman join her hubby on the live NBC television show?

While she may accompany the country music superstar to New York so the pair can make up for lost time (Keith was in rehab for alcohol addiction for three months) Keith will only be the musical guest on the show when Forest Whitaker hosts NBC's "Saturday Night Live" on Feb. 10.  So don't expect to see Nic on the show.

It will be nice to see Keith finally be able to promote his new album.  The singer and former addict entered the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., on Oct. 19, forcing him to delay his world tour and all of the promotional appearances for his latest album, "Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing."

Now he is out and set to perform.  A release from the Associated Press notes that Keith has said that he stayed in rehab three months because he realized that learning to abstain was only part of the recovery process.

Good for him.  The show has another A-lister as host as Forrest Whitaker, 45, is nominated for a best-actor Oscar for his role as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in "The Last King of Scotland."  He already grabbed a Golden Globes award for his role in the film.

Yeah I hope Keith does a skit but yeah usually artist do two songs. So I hope to at least hear Keith perform twice

I am also so tired of hearing about rehab & this remark is just stupid; her brand-new problem husband, country singer Keith Urban, as he graduated from drug rehab for the umpteenth time! I didn't realize twice added up to the umpteenth time.

    It seems that his name is no longer Keith Urban but has been elongated to,Country Singer Keith Urban Who Just Completed Rehab, or Troubled Country Singer Keith Urban or Keith Urban Troubled Husband of Nicole Kidman. Same goes for Nicole, I am pretty sick of hearing Nicole Kidman Who Was Married to Tom Cruise Umpteen Years Ago...
    The media need to move on here and give up the sensationalism. No one wants to be branded permanently with one event in his lifetime! They could just as easily choose a complimentary identifier, like Keith Urban Who Has Won Multiple CMA Awards, but no...we have to be subjected to this junk!

This Lainey person has consistently written nasty articles about Keith and Nicole.

She does have one part that I believe is of concern and that is that Keith needs to mend some fences in Nashville before he begins touring. I recently commented that I was sorry he was going to miss the CMT awards. He has already missed the CMA awards in November. This past weekend he missed the Max It Out benefit, which he originated for the son of a family he knows. My thought was that these appearances and relationships are very important to his career. I did not mean "schmoozing." I meant, now that he has completed rehab, reconnecting with people he has worked with professionally.

Nashville could probably give a rip whether Keith attends the Grammys or not, but you can bet that his absences at prominent benefits, annual fan-related concerts and country award shows will not go unnoticed.

At one time Keith was the only country singer who was talented enough to blend rock and country. He was unique. Bon Jovi and some of his band have recently begun recording and purchasing property in Nashville, as have members of Aerosmith, Kid Rock, and Sheryl Crow, to name a few. Dan Huff is now working with Bon Jovi on a new album after his award-winning hit with Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland. John Mellencamp currently has a hit on the CMT Top 20 Countdown. So rock has discovered Nashville. The days of artists having to pay their dues are gone as evidenced by Carrie Underwood and other new artists who have experienced great success almost overnight.

Keith is a very talented artist and I hope he has unlimited success, but I also hope he approaches the rest of his career carefully, wisely and with humility. The music industry in Nashville is a very close-knit community and being present counts. I think Lainey hit the nail on the head with her comments, although she did it in a negative way.

The Aussie couple was shut out from celebrating Keith Urban's birthday as the country singer was seeking treatment in rehab.  But Urban and his new wife Nicole Kidman did spend the Christmas and New Year's holidays together in Australia.  Still, they are newlyweds and this will be there first Valentine's Day together as husband and wife.

So - what's the plan?  According to AOL Entertainment website TMZ, the Oscar winning actress is set to play cupid.

A report on the website notes that Nicole Kidman is ready to spend a romantic Valentine's day with her man.  The report claims that the sexy actress played the part of Cupid to perfection, buying a dozen Northern Light candles and having them shipped to their Tennessee home to give to Keith for the February 14 holiday.

The candles are made from organic Australian beeswax, feature chemical-free cotton wicks and cosmetic grade macadamia nut oil. Only the best for Mr. Kidman, TMZ says.

The best would likely be some sexy lingerie as well, but there is a whole week left for that purchase.  The couple certainly has had a rough start to what many hope will be a long and happy marriage.  Between car crashes and rehab, lets hope this Valentine's Day can be a haapy one.

Country superstar Keith Urban and his movie star wife Nicole Kidman's wedded bliss was rudely interrupted by reality.  But the Aussie couple are not letting those issues control their lives and are making a fresh start after Keith’s three month rehab stint at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California.  Urban has praised his wife for her support stating, “My wife stayed extraordinarily strong and loving."

Life & Style Magazine is reporting that the pair have been spotted recently looking like love sick teenagers.  An insider tells the magazine “Keith’s trying his hardest to show Nicole how much he loves her.”

The couple were spotted dining at Hollywood’s Sushi Roku on January 29, and again the next day at the Polo Club Café. The duo were seated side by side and another patron stated, “They were in great spirits and kept kissing.”

“We've gone through a lot in the last three months and I think it's been the strength of our marriage that has carried both of us through," Urban said earlier in an interview.  Now Keith is making up for lost time.  Besides writing Nicole another love song, he has been showering her with gifts including flowers and a diamond cross.  The pair has been inseparable since the singer’s release from rehab with Keith even being spotted on set while Nicole shoots the sci-fi thriller 'The Invasion.'

Keith Urban Accuser Wyatt Apologizes to Keith & Nicole Kidman

Amanda Wyatt made quite the splash earlier when she accused country superstar Keith Urban of a long drug-fueled affair where he allegedly had unprotected sex with her right up until Keith married Nicole Kidman.  In a lengthy interview with a British tabloid Wyatt unloaded several accusations at Keith and then basically dropped off the radar screen leaving a mess of unanswered questions.

A representative for Mr. Urban denied the incendiary accusations and slammed Miss Wyatt for seeking out her fifteen minutes of fame at the expense of Keith and Nicole.  Now the woman that has been described as a model is again speaking - this time to apologize.

A report from WKRN of Nashville now says that Wyatt wants to apologize.   Wyatt said that since her story came out, Urban’s people have contacted her, and now she just wants to move on.  She said, "I apologize to everybody I hurt.  I'm trying to move on with my life and career at this point."

Amanda Wyatt claims the tabloids approached her about running a story on her relationship with Keith Urban, not the other way around.  Wyatt thought if she shared her side, it would set the record straight.  Now, she said that's not what happened.

A report on the TV stations website notes Wyatt's life turned upside down after the tabloid published details of her relationship with Urban.  Wyatt told News 2 in an exclusive interview that most of the print about her is inaccurate.

She said, "Everything out there has been fabricated and not much of it is accurate."

Certainly Wyatt knew what would happen when she gave the interview, no matter who initiated the meeting.  It was a poor choice.

Urban Calls Rehab 'Exercise In Surrender'

Singer Keith Urban, during an interview in New York, said his stint in rehab was an "exercise in surrender" and he views his pending tour as therapeutic.

Being in rehab taught him "to let go of everything and recognize that, 'This is where I am, this is where I'm meant to be'," Urban told Hanna Storm on CBS' "The Early Show."

The Australian-born singer-songwriter and husband of actress Nicole Kidman said his album "Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing," which had strong sales while he was treated for alcohol addiction, showed him the level of support he had.
